technologies or economic markets and avoid rigid approaches which favor short-term profits in one sector at the expense of inclusive sustainable growth in the affected areas. Our objectives are
achieved by a close collaboration with local and well connected partners in the respective areas, including a mutual exchange of knowledge, ideas and strategies. We strongly emphasize the
development of programs and solutions for vulnerable areas and communities, which are primarily affected by contemporary trends like climate change, urbanization, and production & consumption
patterns. ASCEND strives to strengthen these communities by improving their capabilities and resources to cope with these challenges.
